Symbols for balance and harmony.
The colours used are ROYGBIV, the visible colour spectrum (to humans), the colours of the rainbow. Most humans sense (through cones in their eyes) transparent light waves which the brain then translates as a colour. Lower energy light waves are sensed as reds, oranges and yellows and are closer to the energy of matter (or earth) than the higher energy blues, indigo and violets – which are closer to pure energy and are more associated with the mind and thought. Medium energy greens create a sense of balance between these high and low energy opposites.
